When the Season\’s Change
I always look forward to the change of seasons. And I wonder why? During the winter months, I wish for Spring, in the heat of the summer, I wish for the cold winds to blow. I love to spend my summers in the waves and the winters on the slopes. People seem to be much happier when the activities they enjoy are aligned with the changes of the seasons.
Too often I rush away the moments of the day instead of cherishing them for what they are or what they can become. I hear about tragedy and devastation, day in and day out, yet continue wishing the day go by faster, or complaining there is not enough time the day! Which is it? Well, I believe that those happy skiers and wave-runners have found the real secret to living. They just allow themselves to enjoy each moment.
I usually don\'t admit that I catch an episode of Oprah now and again, but I do admit she says some profound things like:

Today, I am going to focus my attention on each moment. I am not going to rush the day through and I am going to enjoy being ME! I may not hit the slopes or the waves, but I will not allow outside sources to suck me into the never-ending funnel of negativity. I am sure I will have success today, after all, in am in control of ME!
