The Ultimate Identification Theft
The Ultimate Identification Theft
Social Security numbers are high commodities for anyone seeking a new identity. It is a much higher commodity among illegal aliens.
You have most likely never given much consideration to your birth and for the most part, how you became part of a presumptive contract while a minor.
Because you are automatically enumerated before leaving the hospital, it becomes part of the birthing process. This, in essence is the beginning of the ultimate identity theft.
Not long after your birth, your parents are given a stack of papers... forms, which your parents were told to have filled out before leaving with their new bundle. Among these forms is the SS-5 (Social Security Form). Although you did not personally apply, request or even inquire about such a number, you, a minor child, were assigned an account number, entering you into an alleged promise of a trust fund with your parents permission.
The Social Security Act of 1935 is a U.S. government-sponsored, [voluntary] pension program enacted by Congress. Completing, signing and submitting this form actually makes you a federal government employee.
The SSA states that your personal account number should not be used as a form of identification however, companies will ask you for the last four digits of your SSN (to protect your privacy) and perform a superficial search which will provide the first five digits.
One can avoid their identity being stolen all together. The best form of identification is using your fingerprint. It cannot be duplicated.
