Be Prepared for the Unexpected Challenges in Life!

October 18, 2008 By: admin Category: Motivation Techniques Comments Off

When you encounter new challenges in our life, how are you going to handle them? Run, fear or defeat and conquer all of your challenges. Challenges are simply walls that are meant to be torn down, unfortunately a new wall usually appears before you very own eyes. What will you do? How will you handle this? Below is an example of stories I hear from individuals who usually do not respond well to new challenges, especially ones that are not familiar to them:

\”They told me everything would be okay. They told me that every thing is all good and my speed will pay my way. Hmm…that\’s the day I said to myself \”Joe, you ain\’t got a thing to worry about\” No doubt everyone would love me, the 4.3, the 4 TD\’s in one quarter when I intercepted three. Standing on top as the future #1 pick, but first gotta pass my SAT. Its crunch time, but this is a different kind of time, no game lights, no cheerleaders screaming fight, its the hardest competition I\’ve ever been in, it was time to put that paper to a pen.

I\’m sick to my stomach an dunno know what to do, how to feel, I never prepared for an opponent just so real. Big, 350 pounders ready to break every bone in their body just to get to me, but don\’t scare me, not Mean Joe Dean! I have never seen this kind of game before nor have I ever watched game film or studied the weekly playbook for his team before, they had a star player on the team..his name was Aca Demics. I was told that people beat his team before, but many fail and never come back to face this opponent again. I have to admit, I was not ready! They told me every thing would be okay they told me everything would be all good. How dumb could I have been? So dumb that I took advice from people that only cared about winning. They never told me that one day I would face such a Goliath like specimen that would ultimately ruin my career.

That day came, I tried my hardest to be the greatest of the great, but it was to late, I was to familiar with the study method called procrastinate. I remember my final play when I cam through a blocking lane that appeared open, then all of a sudden Aca Demic hit me so hard that my hands dropped causing me to fumble in the game of life. Now take my advice, game time is great and all, but you have to be prepared for the much greater things you will face in the future that will create a winner out of you or a loser like me..Mean Joe Dean!\”

Does this sound like you? If not, continue to always prepare your self for the unexpected!

Leave Your Crutches At the Door

October 18, 2008 By: admin Category: Motivation Techniques Comments Off

There is a common phrase that says, \”We are the sum of our choices.\” Everything in our life has happened because we made choices or others made choices that affected us. Each of us have done wrong, embarrassing things based on choices made at the time. Many people live a life of responsibility and accountability. They lead lives of integrity and exude the vibes of honesty. Yet another segment of people refuse to face the reality of their choices and the damage and consequences they have caused. Which group do you belong to?

If you have ever sustained an injury to the foot or ankle area you know how difficult it is to put weight on that foot. Just the slightest pressure sends explosions of pain through your leg. Instinctively you put the weight on your good foot and try not to fall. Crutches sometimes are the only answer for this type of injury.

Crutches are appropriate for the care of injuries but are often used for inappropriately in other areas of life. Excuses are man\’s best friend at times. They help cover behaviors that we are not proud of. Instead of fessing up, men tend to look for anything to take the blame for what they have done. I feel qualified to write on the subject because I have used excuses throughout my life. Unfortunately, in my adult life I allowed these excuses to became entangled with my thinking. The result was a man not living a life that reflected honesty, responsibility, or integrity. I lived a phony life void of integrity.

There is a deep dark place that only few of us experience. That place is known as the \”bottom.\” Several things happen at this juncture, regardless of what leads to this place of disgrace and humility.

  • You instantly realize the good things in your life and cling on to them desperately, if there are any.
  • Distorted thinking, rationalizing, and our crutches lose all of the power they previously boasted.
  • You realize how weak you are capable of being and how small you really are.
  • There is a strong sense of God or the emptiness of no higher being at all.
  • Time to take responsibility and accept the current realities of your life.
  • Time for gut wrenching reflection.

then……………………

  • Decision time

To move ahead in any kind of honest, healthy treatment or recovery requires the removal of all crutches. Recovery is loaded with pain because we have always used our crutches as our default setting. Every bend in the road of recovery forces us to face the pain of our decisions and choices. Just as we are ready to offer an excuse for our behavior, the crutch is pulled from us. The result is the union of our helpless bodies against the concrete as we fall. No person or excuse is there to catch us. What sounds like a brutal experience actually is. Fortunately, as we face our demons, insecurities, and distorted thinking, we begin to sense a new found freedom. This feeling is the result of pain, frustration, anger, and much denial. Little by little, the layers of our old self peel off like layers of an onion. Each layer is painful but makes the person one step closer to wholeness. What crutches do you rely on in your life? Imagine shedding them and tossing them into a huge bonfire. It will be the most difficult thing you have ever done, but will also be the most liberating experience of your life. I challenge you to identify your crutches, take on the pain, and walk the road to freedom. Travel on this road requires no crutches!

The Tricky Business of Motivating Employees - Part 3

October 17, 2008 By: admin Category: Motivation Techniques Comments Off

MANAGEMENT COULD ALSO BE THE SOURCE OF\rEMPLOYEES\’ LACK OF MOTIVATION

Organizations must be willing evaluate themselves as\rseriously as they evaluate their employees. Managers and\rmanagement groups are made up of human beings, who\rare not immune to having their own difficulties. The types of\rproblems that can occur within management runs the gamut,\ras is true with employees. The non-responsive employee,\rutilized as an example at the beginning of this article,\rmay be signaling a serious lack of communication (or trust)\rbetween employees and management.

Some managers are experts in their technical area but need\rassistance in learning constructive ways to interact with\rtheir staff. Other managers may be under their own\rperformance pressures and pass their anxieties on to\rsupervisees. Yet other members of management may\rhave their own life distractions, which makes them less\raccessible to others and leaves some of their employees\rfloundering without adequate direction.

Whatever the case, managers are well advised to encourage\remployees to provide them with feedback at regular\rintervals and to assure that there will be no negative\rrepercussions for doing so. It is important also for upper\rlevel management to be vigilant of the climate at work, so\rthat team functioning can be reviewed in an objective\rmanner from bottom to top and top to bottom.

Sometimes, the unraveling of problems at the management\rlevel are best handled by a management consultant. This\rprocess often takes the form of the consultant spending\rtime on site, both observing and interviewing managers and\rtheir supervisees. Recommendations and a plan of action can\rthen be developed. The consultant may or may not continue\rto be involved with the execution of the plan, depending on\rthe complexity of the specific situation.

IN SUMMARY

We are all aware that businesses must have a viable service\ror product to thrive. We also know that employees with\rtalent and experience in their respective fields are\rnecessary for a business to succeed. It is equally\rimportant that the members of the organization be prepared\rto carry out their responsibilities effectively. Otherwise,\rthe most brilliant business concept and all the\rprofessional talent in the world can be undermined by day\rto day operational difficulties, which are a product of the\rbehaviors of members of the workgroup.

With attention to the behavioral and interpersonal\rfunctioning of employees and work teams, many problems can\rbe prevented or resolved before reaching critical levels.\rConversely, the organization with motivated, cooperative\rand dedicated employees has the best chance of reaching its\rgoals.

All too often, therapists hear their clients refer to work\ras a \”burdensome commitment\” that they dread, an \”obstacle\”\rin the way of their enjoying themselves more fully, or a\rnecessary evil that they must tolerate.

The employee who continues at work for an extended period\rof time with this attitude is heading for trouble on\rmultiple levels. This article will address some of the\rpitfalls of remaining in a job with a high level of\rdissatisfaction and will look at some steps that can be\rtaken to get work back into sync with overall life goals.

The Amazing Top 20 Power Motivation Quotes Which Keep You Strong, Confident, And Help You Do Life!

October 17, 2008 By: admin Category: Motivation Techniques Comments Off

Think about the very last time you passed a power laden thought or image through your mind. How did it make you feel? How did it influence what you then expected? Assumed? And sensed regarding possibilities existing for you (and what you could do to bring forth, or capitalize upon them)?

Was this power laden (motivation) thought self generated? A result of something you heard on the radio or TV? A byproduct of something someone had told or suggested to you? Or did you read something that so inspired you that an idea unfolded in your mind that directly instigated an uplifting feeling of power within you?

Just think about this for a moment here; certain types of idea influences naturally embolden, emotionally strengthen, and galvanize sensations of power within you. And when they do, you then naturally see things from a much more confident, rich, and positive expectation context. And then…the \”magic\” happens. \”Magic\”? Yes; you then engage, and perform within life in a much more emphatic, targeted, and success inciting\rManner.

Your power laden thought then fuels a sensation of capability, capacity for success, and motivation…which then inspires, em-powers, and stimulates mental/physical movement toward personal triumph!

Wow! Just Let yourself get a feel for how you, your performance, and your results would be different (notably different) if you deliberately - continually - kept passing power laden thoughts through your mind. Sort of gives you a sense of how things could be (indeed, should be) for you, doesn\’t?!

As an aid to you doing this, following are 20 of my most life impacting power motivation quotes and sayings. Let each fill you. Let each inspire you. Let each serve to directly emotionally fuel you toward striking personal advance!

The Incredible Change Top 20 Power Motivation Quotes:

1.) \”Without doubt - you can achieve the things you dream of.
\rWithout doubt, you can reach levels you never have before.
\rWithout doubt — you can convert the word \’wish\’ into fact.
\rLet yourself get this awareness…without doubt!\”

2.) \”Just because you haven\’t done something yet doesn\’t mean you can\’t;
\rit just means you haven\’t…yet.\”

3.) \”You can \’hope\’ others will extend themselves to you to help you along your way -
\ror, you can choose to become a self reliant initiator — and get your OWN life done!\”

4.) \”Depending upon your state of mind, struggle can convert into suffering, or into
\reducation …The former occurs when you see no way out - The latter occurs
\rwhen you see that experience gleaned from the demand - from the process - IS
\rthe way out!\”

5.) \”Why just ask for one apple - ask for the whole tree!\”

6.) \”The next time someone lets you \’down\’ - lift yourself back up …
\rTake the time and energy you\’d have spent on berating,
\rchastising, and \’hammering\’ the one who let you \’down\’–
\rand spend it instead on the uplift…of you.
\rGet it done, and get it done by your SELF -
\rFor you are someone you can always depend on!\”

7.) \”You may not be as powerful as you ultimately want to be …
\rBut you\’re certainly strong enough — right Now!\”

8.) \”When something you mistakenly did produces a result
\rthat you never would have expected - a seemingly \’unexplainable\’,
\rand positive result that surprised, indeed, delighted you -
\rThat\’s when it\’s time to make the same \’mistake\’…twice!\”

9.) \”Determination has no greater force than in the deep seated need for conquest \” …

10.) \”Hey — if life were truly so \’impossible\’ and tough,
\ryou would have \’given up\’ by now — wouldn\’t you!
\rBut you haven\’t.
\rAnd in the back of your mind, there\’s still the desire that things, and you, can change -
\rthe hope that they will, and the willingness to do what you can so they will …
\rWhat do you think this tells you about life, and you?!\”

11.) \”Don\’t ever give up hope.
\rBut continue to believe in who you are, what you are, and what you have;
\rThat\’s how you keep your chances…alive!\”

12.) \”If you choose the action - you invite the consequence.
\rEverything you do produces results - Therefore, think before you act,
\rso you invest your life into what will produce positive, and beneficial results …
\rOtherwise, you\’ll just remain a slave to habit - imprisoned within ignorance!\”

13.) \”Honoring your deservedness is the beginning of living.\”

14.) \”If you keep waiting for the \’perfect\’, or exact \’right\’ time to take action –
\rchances are you never will …
\rNow is the right time, my friend; Now.
\rDig in, jump in, and do what you must - and finish it …
\rWaiting means evading; it\’s time you \’jumped into the pool\’,
\rand started \’swimming\’ already — Isn\’t it!\”

15.) \”The future is going to happen with you, or without you;
\ryou might as well determine to be part of the \’scene\’ -
\rYes — a good, meaningful, and satisfied part!\”

16.) \”When a tree bears fruit, it offers you life –
\rsustenance that will nourish if you chew, munch, or lick it …
\rBut you have only your self to blame, if you remain unfulfilled and hungry
\rbecause you weren\’t bold enough to go right up to the fruit…and then pick it!\”

17.) You Will Find In Your World What You TRULY Expect

\”When you look out upon life, what do you perceive awaits you?
\rA world of opportunity, cooperation, and well meaning,
\rwell intentioned interactions and involvements?
\rOr, one of antagonism and disinterest — indeed, where intentional
\rharassment will find you, and do its \’best\’ to undermine and tear you down?
\rChances are you will find what you look for –
\rwhat deep in your heart you believe - and expect - exists for…you.
\rThe world - your world - is a mirror of your soul;
\rif you were to change your perceptions so life could begin to work for you,
\rhow would you? And, what do you think would happen…if you did?\rSometimes, it\’s very good to wonder…\”

18.) \”Be bold - or be un-fulfilled!\”

19.) The Elements And The Oak

\”The developing oak tree does not feign from the thunder and lighting,
\ror from the intense wind and rainstorms …
\rIt uses and allows these elements to shape and mold its very character,
\rits resiliency, and further cultivate its evolving strength …
\rFor ultimately the oak tree knows it will continue to grow - bigger and stronger.
\rAnd in large part, through the influence and impact of the elements it faces,
\rultimately it will become…Mighty.
\rThen, in the midst of any element, it has no fear or reservation;
\rit knows it can withstand - and stay strong and immovable -
\rin relation to any force of nature that might project itself upon it …
\rIt remains an individual, with its own unique power and capacity to face up,
\rbrace up, and stand indomitably strong in the face of any and every element.
\rIt views not the elements as its \’enemy\’ or \’oppressor\’, but as the molders and shapers
\rwhich have helped it develop into its now formidable size, strength, and dimension …And though
the \’elements\’ may seemingly be pounding you -
\rthey\’re also molding and shaping you - and moving you to become strong -
\rbecause of them.
\rWelcome then the thunder, the wind, and the rain;
\rlet their collective influence and impact ultimately move YOU to become mighty!\”

20.) \”Refusing to waiver, falter, come up \’short\’, or \’not\’ reach your specific goal -
\rso you grit your teeth even harder, persevere more fiercely, and drive yourself more feverishly –
\runtil you conclusively conquer demand, and fully complete your quest -
\rBraving this challenge, indeed, fearlessly subjecting yourself to, enduring,
\rand mastering this realm, will not just bestow greatness - it will wholly confirm it!\”

How Is Your Mental Diet?

October 17, 2008 By: admin Category: Motivation Techniques Comments Off

Thirty-three percent of American adults, approximately 71 million people, are currently on a diet. Add the pre-teens and teenagers who are also dieting and the numbers are even more staggering. Every year we spend over forty billion dollars on diet books, pills and potions with the hope of looking better or becoming healthier. Can you imagine the number of infectiously upbeat people you would encounter in a day if just as many people made similar efforts to go on a mental diet? How about it? Is your mental diet contributing to your success and happiness? If not, then it could be time for a change.

One of the most powerful things you can do to contribute to your success is to pay attention to the things you are feeding your mind on a daily basis. As Tommy Newberry said, all of life is an exercise in strengthening your mind. The same way your body becomes fat and out of shape from a steady diet of junk food, your mind has the tendency to become flabby and less supportive of your goals if it is being fed mental junk as well. If negative thoughts and influences are the new carbs, then it is time to eliminate, or at least significantly reduce, your intake. Too many carbs, physical or mental, are simply not good for you. Armed with a mental garbage bag, take a look around your mental cupboards and start throwing out the things that are causing your mind to become fat and droopy. What do you have on the shelves? Throw out that box of trashy talk shows along with the pile of tabloid newspapers. How about that can of negative news stories? I know how much you enjoy your digitally re-mastered DVD of painful life experiences, but in the garbage it goes.

Feed Your Mind Continually

Restock your cupboards with goals and dreams - great visions of the exciting life you want to live. Make sure you have an abundant supply of wholesome mental foods and vitamins - inspirational reading materials and audio CDs, a positive attitude and an optimistic outlook. The successful dieter doesnt agonize about the overweight figure they see in the mirror; they see themselves weighing ten or twenty pounds less. Feed your mind with words, images, ideas and information consistent with your goals. Read books and watch biographies about other successful people - imagine yourself becoming like them. Continually feed your mind with images of the kind of people you most respect and admire and want to be like.

Team up

As the old saying goes birds of a feather flock together. Walk into the cafeteria at work or stroll by the water cooler and take note of the general tone of the conversations. People are complaining about one problem or another. Nobody is talking about enjoying a more successful life. Some of those on the more successful diets have regular meetings where people are able to share their success stories and support each other. Team up with people who are as committed as you are to changing their lives. These individuals will share their thoughts, ideas, opinions and information. They will challenge you to raise the bar and provide support as you do so.

Exercise

I believe the best way to loose weight is to add an exercise program to your new eating habits. To enhance your new mental diet you to should add some daily exercises. Here are some ideas:

    \r
  • Sit quietly or meditate for at least 15 minutes. \r
  • Read something uplifting.\r
  • Listen to an inspirational CD.\r
  • Practice positive self-talk.\r
  • Repeat positive affirmations.\r
  • Seek out the benefits from every adverse situation.\r

It is always difficult to get started on a diet and to break the patterns that are so deeply embedded from years of programming. It is equally difficult to sidestep the overwhelming negative thinking in society at large. As you get started on your mental diet, dont be discouraged and dont beat yourself up if you slip back into your old habits. Just keep at it and before you know it you will see concrete signs of the new you.

These Are The Good Old Days, Learn To Appreciate Them

October 16, 2008 By: admin Category: Motivation Techniques Comments Off

Anticipation.

Function: noun

1 the act of looking forward; especially : pleasurable expectation

2 visualization of a future event or state

These are just a couple of the benign definitions of the word \”anticipation\”, the clinical version of the word. We learn from an early age to anticipate events in our lives, both good and bad. We start to look forward in life and not backward. The butterfly feeling in the stomach, the feeling of being on pins and needles, hoping that time will hurry and pass so that we can get to the \”good\” stuff, you know the feeling. I have personally learned to love and to enjoy that time, to find ways to heighten it, so that when what I\’ve been yearning for is happening, it\’s not merely good, but great…memorable.

When we are young, we learn to look forward to special treats. Remember the feeling of waking up on a summer\’s day and knowing that \”sometime\” during the course of the afternoon, the ice cream truck might make a trip through your neighborhood? You prepared for it. Made sure that you alerted Mom to the possibility that you\’d need money at a moment\’s notice. You stayed almost on point, listening for the bell that heralded it\’s arrival. You looked forward when you were young to any special treat promised for good behavior. Vacations or trips were planned and before you ever loaded up the car to head out, there had been weeks of preparation and sleepless nights when you absolutely couldn\’t wait to leave and get started on your adventure.

If we are really clever, as we get older and travel along life\’s paths, we learn how to use anticipation to draw out the time prior to good events we know are upcoming. We use anticipation almost as foreplay in the days leading up to special times we hope to cherish and remember always. We think about what special unexpected things might happen. We ponder the variables that could either enhance or detract from our experience. We dream of what might be, both when we are awake and sleeping. The time seems to crawl, but by the same token…that in itself can be delicious in piquing the senses if done correctly. We anticipate…we feel fully alive. It\’s exciting, it\’s vital to life to look forward to things.

We look forward to our first love, our first kiss. We look forward (hopefully) to our wedding. The birth of our first child is a time of worry, joy and hope…that doesn\’t diminish with all the children that follow. We look forward to special vacations, to graduations. We anticipate new jobs and new relationships…to anniversaries and to new homes. So many things to look forward to and absolutely savor if we pay attention…if we don\’t try wish our lives away and hope that the time flies rather than enjoying the journey to get there, using it as a part of the good part.

Some of us remember when Carly Simon brought the word Anticipation to life in a song. She gave it texture and locked it in our minds, it was a theme song for many teenagers and 20 somethings as to what our lives would hold. (Of course, this was BEFORE the song was forever linked to ketchup slowly oozing it\’s way out to give us something thick and tasty to eat) Okay, back to my basic point…learn to feel anticipation again. There are no guarantees in life of how something will turn out…look forward to the possibilities anyway. Keep that childlike magic alive of wanting and yearning for something that is to come so that you don\’t grow old and stagnant in your life. Don\’t over plan or try to regiment every detail as we tend to do as adults…try going with the flow and letting your dreams guide you. Take chances, go after the things that are important or rare without fear or second guessing…trust your intuition.

LET yourself feel the butterflies. Be on pins and needles, laugh out loud or share secrets with someone. Daydream and \”feel\” what is to come. Want it, need it, embrace that special time beforehand…then enjoy the heck out of the actual event. Learn to live in the moment now and then when you can…when the times call for it. Let go and give yourself permission to reach out and grab what you need or want. Take the time for yourself…trust me…it\’s important. Don\’t miss out on life by always choosing what is safe or expected. Take a few chances along the way, you just might find they pay off.

It\’s amazing how time really does fly and the thing you\’ve looked forward to, does indeed arrive in it\’s own time. Spectacularly.

Do You Annoy People

October 15, 2008 By: admin Category: Motivation Techniques Comments Off

Do you annoy people? Do you have a certain habit that really bothers the heck out of family, friends, and associates? I have one relative who blows their nose at the dinner table every time they come over. Right in the middle of eating, out comes the handkerchief, and BAM, you know whats coming next. Every Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, birthdays, no matter what the occasion, you can count on the big blow. There are people who follow almost every sentence with the phrase, you know or you know what I mean. You might know that person who uses the term like in almost every sentence; Like, you know what I mean Like, they really bother me Like, get over it. Do you smack your food when you eat? Im not real fond of the person who chews their gum so you get to see it quite often. The list can go on and on; talking loud on your cell-phone, wearing too much cologne or perfume, twirling your hair, biting your nails, always late.

I had a terrible habit of always stealing the punch line when my wife was telling a funny story. One day she finally said, do you always have to interrupt me and tell the ending. I remember saying, but I thought you had finished. Her reply was, no, I just took a breath. I hadnt realized that I was doing it. I just got wrapped up in her story and was helping her finish. Now thats annoying. Having a fourteen year old son will also help to identify any annoying habits you may have. One day my son said, hey Dad, you enjoying those peanuts? I said, yeah, why do you ask? He said, because I can hear you eating them all the way over here. I cant stand people who eat loud but there I was eating loud.

Being a professional speaker there are many times my program is videotaped. Each one of those tapes is a great learning experience for me when I review them. Tapes dont lie; they show you everything you are doing right and anything you may be doing wrong. The audience might not pick up on it, but I do. In fact, if I catch myself over-using a particular phrase, I will write that phrase out in large print on a 3 X 5 card and place it close by me when I speak for the next several weeks, to remind myself to not over-use that phrase.

It is most likely that you wont be videotaping yourself to help catch you doing those annoying things. You may not have that teenager who will help you change your ways. But it might behoove you to ask a few close friends or relatives if you do have any annoying habits. Dont take umbrage with what they say. Remember, you asked. Now, you may think you dont have any annoying habits and my response to you would be think again !

Reviving Your Motivation - 3 Ways To Keep You Going

October 14, 2008 By: admin Category: Motivation Techniques Comments Off

Everyone will need a pat on the back from time to time. There are days when you get up on the wrong side of the bed and feel nothing will work out today. There will be times when you seem to have deviate from the right track, but have lost all your fighting spirit to steer yourself back.

Passion and the strong desire for success is like a fire on the Savannah plains, started by only one spark but will spread like wild fire and felt strongly by everyone, even those from beyond the seas.

But the fire will be doused and the spark dies out. Some fire-dousers include negativities, grass-is-greener-on-the-other-side mentality and the biggest of them all, is the lack of momentum i.e no actions are being taken.

Here are 3 tips to help you keep the fire going:

- Having results will solve any problem of no motivation.

Nobody will quit on their progress when things are working out just fine. Just continue doing what generates results and you will never face the problem again. The momentum that you created will keep you fired up and burn every obstacles along the way.

- Keep yourself constantly updated on your friends and competitors progress.

Some people are suckers when it comes to competing with other people. When you are seeing how other people are constantly improving on their task or getting closer to their goal, and their tasks or goals are similar to yours, it will give you the drive to push yourself to start moving and keep the bum off the ground.

- The most controversial way is to just QUIT. Not in the sense of shoving all your previous progress down the drain, but more of taking a short break. Critics of this particular way claim that it hinders your momentum and waste unnecessary time, but I think otherwise. This method has two benefits to it. First up, the time spent on resting means you have lost out on precious time. There is nothing like a loss to trigger your innate emotion and helps to instantaneously gain a boost in momentum. Secondly, disassociating with your work allow you to have a more holistic perspective on your task. Needless to say, it will definitely help I the long run.

Never Give Up

October 14, 2008 By: admin Category: Motivation Techniques Comments Off

Every one of us will have days when we just want to give up. The odds will seem to high, the stress is too much, or the cost just feels to great.

What separates the losers in life from the winners is that the winners press on. No matter how impossible something might seem, they push ahead.

When the odds seem to be against you, know that other people that have done great things have overcome before you.

Donald Trump was BILLIONS in debt, nearly bankrupt and spent his days with creditors all over him. He overcame.

Ted Turner was unable to make his payroll, had most of his employees quit and tell him to give up on CNN. Very few people today on the planet do not know what CNN is. He overcame.

Abraham Lincoln failed over and over again. He lost elections, over and over again. When he ran for President he wasnt even put on the ballot in many states. He overcame, and is remembered as one of the greatest Presidents the US ever had.

Winston Churchill was removed from the British government and publicly humiliated for 20 years. But when the world needed him he was there, and nobody remembers his removal, they remember how strong he was in the face of war. He overcame.

Hellen Keller overcame. Oprah Winfrey overcame. Robert Kiyosaki overcame. Tim Blixseth overcame.

The truth is, every person that has ever done anything has had to overcome great obstacle.

You can overcome that obstacle youre staring at. Its been done before, and it will be done again.

To quote Winston Churchill-NEVER GIVE UP. NEVER GIVE UP. NEVER GIVE UP.

Getting Out of a Rut

October 14, 2008 By: admin Category: Motivation Techniques Comments Off

Are you feeling bored or restless? Do you need to make a change of some type? People who make creative breakthroughs are the ones who usually are looking for different ways of doing things. I am going to suggest some possible ways to get out of your rut. This could actually be fun. Now, please keep an open mind.

If you usually brush your teeth with the right hand, use the left.

Speak to someone every day that you have never spoken to before.

Take a different route to work. See what new things you discover.

Read a book on a subject you know nothing about.

Find a new use for an object commonly found in your work area.

Now here is an interesting one. Read a novel except the last chapter and write your own ending.

If you have a willing partner, exchange roles at home for a day.

Now, think of some ideas of your own and see what you can do. Of course daily routine is necessary for some things, but mixing things up a bit might be just what the doctor ordered!
