Targeted Autoresponders - Making Business Flourish in Just a Nick of Time

Imagine this you have set up a business online and sales are doing well, but you have a problem on responding to queries and requests about your products and services. There are other things that need your attention, but you do not want to compromise your business sales because of it. Or simply, you are not born a writer and have trouble addressing your customers in a professional, straightforward but nice way. That is where auto responders can help you. Auto responders generate emails that would seem to be written by you even if youre not at your desk. It would help you manage your time to attend other business matters. A lot of web companies depend on email marketing and that is why it is recommendable to use auto responders. Your sales are bound to increase if you have a well-structured email marketing strategy.

There are some things that must be kept in mind though, for auto responders to deliver the desired results for your company.

Auto responders must ensure that your responses or emails go straight to your clients inboxes. From the first time you write an email, auto responders can handle it from there. Your immediate response will be valuable to your clients and would make them feel important in your business. You also increase the chance in drawing more sales by doing so.

Follow up emails are uncomplicated youll save time in sending out bulk of messages.

As you build your efficiency and professionalism rate in trading through autoresponders, your sales will pitch high and thus generate more profits for you.

Choose an autoresponder service that wont hog up your finances and would deliver the best. Do some research and comparisons to make sure you have looked at everything before putting an investment.

You have been told an autoresponder is necessary to create long-term viable business on the internet.

But why?

An autoresponder campaign is probably the single biggest differentiating factor between the success of the big boys (and big girls) in internet marketing.

An autoresponder allows you to remind your visitors and send them back to your web sites again and again and again. If a visitor makes it to your web site and does not buy from you, if he or she does not become a part of your autoresponder campaign, you have likely lost him or her forever. Forever. Unless you pay for the click again. And by the way, just because you arent paying Google Adwords for the clicks, you are still paying. You pay when you write the article and it takes you 20 minutes of your time. You pay when you send out a JV mailing. You pay when you advertise in an ezine. You pay.

So make the most of your visitors. Give them an irresistible offer to opt in to your email list. Then give them irresistible information repeatedly so they will not dare leave your mailing list. Give them the best, they will never leave you. Send them junk, you give them to someone else. You choose.

Send them quality emails. Recommend only the best products. Send them freebies from time to time. Court them. Win them for life. Autoresponders rule.

The internet is a vast avenue to sell products and services to millions of people earthwide. However, it is very difficult for most home based business people to sell up to 5 products per month simply because they lack the simple knowledge to successfully sell with an autoresponders.

Selling on the internet is an art that one must learn in order to succeed in any home based business opportunity. The use of autoresponder messages makes this incredibly simple once you know and have mastered the art of pre-selling.

It is a known fact that most people interested in any product, services or opportunity do not buy on the first contact with the home based business person. In fact statistics says that it takes at least 7 messages to get a prospect to buy your products.

However, it should be noted that your first email to any prospect should not be a sales email. If you use a sales email on the first approach, you instantly loose up to 70% of your potential customers. You have to learn how to build interest slowly through the process of pre-selling.

Give away very valuable information that will solve the problem of your prospects for free in the form of email courses or messages. At the end of your email, include a link to your product and tactfully let the subscriber know that your products can solve this problem.

In your follow up messages, outline benefits of your products with a very informative article. Write as many articles as you can, say 7 before finally presenting your products sales email. This should be done at the end of your 7th email. It can be either the 7th or 8th email.

It should be a point of note that your pre-written emails are leading up to the sale or presentation of your products sales email as Pre-sell messages.

This way, the prospects have over the period of receiving follow up emails be sold so that when he gets the 7th or 8th email, he will be in a buying mood.

Never slam a prospects with your sales messages the very first time with your autoresponder messages.

The rule of successful email marketing in this era of information is; give your best information away for free first, then receive.

Whenever I talk to entrepreneurs who are trying to market their businesses, I am often amazed by how few people use the incredible power of e-mail marketing. Many of them tell me, Oh my business isnt suitable for that, or Yes, Ive heard of autoresponders but I dont really know what they do.

There seems to be a lot of confusing information around and many businesses, which could be benefiting, just dont know how to take advantage of one of the most powerful marketing methods ever seen.

So I decided it was time to explain exactly what autoresponders are, how they work and just what they can offer to any business, whether online or offline.

Basics

Firstly, when people come to your website or walk into your store, they dont always buy first time. Maybe they didnt have enough money today, or they were in a hurry, or they need to think about it, or they want to shop around first. All you know is they came and they left and they didnt buy.

Wouldnt you rather have the chance to maybe ask them why, or offer them a special, or tell them about a product they might not have seen on their first visit? Do you think that might encourage them to come back at a later date?

Secondly, people like receiving communications and that includes your prospects and customers. Rather, I should say, people like receiving communications that they have requested to receive.

You will often hear the term Opt-in this means that someone, a customer or a prospect has opted-in to be on a list and has agreed that you can send him information until he or she says enough. This is the exact same principle that direct mail has worked on for most of the last century.

People opt-in because they have seen something on your website or in your store that they liked the look of and they said I want to find out some more, heres my address so you can send it to me.

Thirdly, it doesnt matter what sort of business youre in; whether you sell e-books on line, or shoes on the high street; whether you offer business consultancy services via your website, or advertise gardening services in your local paper if a prospective customer says Im interested, tell me more then sending them an e-mail, is the quickest, cheapest, least time consuming way to answer their queries and engage with them.

But lets take it one step further; imagine if you could automate that to the extent that you didnt have to personally send out the e-mail and that no matter what time of day, night or weekend, the enquiry came in, your customers could get the information immediately, without you lifting a finger. That is what an autoresponder is designed to do.

If you just use Auto-subscribe forms just for your newsletter sign ups, you are missing out on utilising their full potential. Why not use your autoresponder system to generate all of the forms for contact, downloads, requests, and simple registrations so that you are capturing all of the data in one segmented database.

These flexible forms allow you to control the auto responders you can send out to reduce the work on yourself, streamline your systems and give your readers the information they request immediately, without any intervention on your behalf.

Some simple uses are:

Newsletter Signup: This, of course, is the most obvious use. However, instead of just saying Subscribe to our newsletter, offer them some incentive to subscribe whether it is an e-coupon offering 10% off, a whitepaper or a brochure, it can be automated by using an auto responder. Then you can send them these incentives within the auto responder email rather than the typical thanks for subscribing email.

Lead Creation: When cold calling potential leads, simply enter their details into a web form which has an auto responder associated with it. The details then go immediately into your database, within the appropriate category as well as sending a personalised auto responder email to the potential client.

Web Form on website: This can be used to collect and send as much information as you require. Instead of allowing your whitepapers, articles, prices, e-books, brochures to be downloaded directly from your website, why not collect the interested partys details via a web form and send them the relevant information via an auto responder email? While youre at it, why not make receiving your newsletter compulsory for those who receive this information? This way it is a win/win situation.

Why stop with one auto responder? Once the recipient has received their first auto responder campaign, why leave it at that? Why not make the most of the communication path which has been opened up and utilize the efficiency of the auto responder to build a relationship with them. Be creative and plan a 3-4 stage auto-responder campaign with a new prospect how can you keep them coming back for more until they decide to buy? What can you offer? The key to this type of strategy is to keep it simple and subtle.give them the item/offer/ which they requested and subtly offer something else within the auto responder campaign. This then triggers another email to be sent to the recipient with the requested information (which can be as simple as a price list or a list of features).

But as any other business, there are some key features and elements that need to be in place in order to be a successful internet marketer. One of the most important key elements of a successful internet marketing business is the ability to capture the e-mail address of your website visitors. This means that when you create your webpage you should have in place an efficient mechanism to capture the name and e-mail address of your potential customers.

The assumption behind this suggestion lies in the fact that the majority of people that visit your webpage will not buy from your site in their fist visit. Research has shown that it takes at least 7 communications with your potential customer before they buy from your website. The idea behind this feature is that you should be able to send carefully planned marketing promotions to your potential clients in order to lead them to purchase your products. This is where the autoresponder feature comes to assist your efforts to communicate with your potential customers in an efficient way.

The autorespoder feature is subscription based account that you can sign to that manages the e-mail database of your potential clients. This autoresponder feature lets you design a sing up form that you can place in your website that lets you collect the e-mail address of your potential clients. Know you have the ability to e-mail your clients whenever you want, or better, program your autoresponder account to send your clients e-mail instantly, every 5 days, or every 30 days automatically. This feature gives you the ability to carefully plan your marketing campaigns geared to your potential customers in automatic mode. You will have a marketing campaign in place with minimum effort.

Now, one word of caution, dont program your autoresponder to send e-mails to your clients on a daily basis. Logically, this can turn off the interest that your clients may have in your product. Be wise and market to them in a reasonable way in order to attract their interest to your product.

This autoresponder feature is a very important element in the success of your internet marketing business. Use it wisely and skillfully and you will see your business grow in a substantial and profitable way.

If you are wondering why you need different lists, many people want a list for each of their niches if they are involved in more that one, and even separate lists for prospects and customers, who have already made a purchase. You can separate your addresses in any way you want, even geographically if you collect zip code or even country information in your forms.

One very important use to which can use autoresponders in internet marketing is to send emails out to selected lists at specific intervals. You might have a number of newsletters that you want each person to receive at set times after registration. You can set the emails to be sent at specific intervals of days after they register. This is also useful if you are providing an email course on, for example, how to write effective emails. If your course is over seven days, your autoresponder will send out the parts one at a time, one a day. It can be set to send them out like this for every new member of the list.

You can set your autoresponder to switch people from list to another if they take certain actions. If they buy a product they can be moved from Prospects to Customers, or if they respond in any way at all to any of your emails, they can be moved from Visitors to Prospects. You can program the autoresponder in any way you want you switch people between lists.

There is no doubt that if you know how to use autoresponders in internet marketing, then you have a great tool in your hands that is essential to meet the needs, and expectations, of people in the high speed society that this has become, when everything has to be done by yesterday.

An email autoresponder is the workhorse for all your email marketing campaigns, automating a number of tasks so you can spend more time on writing your promotional emails. It will handle the opt-in system that allows readers to subscribe, or unsubscribe, to your mailing list and it will control the distribution of all the emails you send to your list.

There are a number of features you should consider when choosing an autoresponder that will meet your needs. If youre just starting out, you may not be very concerned with some of the more advanced features offered by various autoresponders, but its a good idea to keep some of the more advanced capabilities in mind as your business grows.

The following are several main features you will want to consider when selecting your first autoresponder:

  • Multiple Lists - A good autoresponder should be able to handle multiple email lists. Being limited to a single list will severely hinder your business. You may want to maintain a number of separate lists for customers, prospects, and so on. Its also a good idea to have separate lists based on what products your customers buy.

  • Easy Integration - Your autoresponder should allow you to integrate other mailing lists into the one you have. This is important if you acquire a separate email list or if you decide to upgrade your autoresponder; you certainly wont want to be forced to throw away an email list simply because it cannot be integrated.
  • Hosting - You should consider whether you want an autoresponder to be hosted by a third party on someone elses server or hosted locally on your own server or computer. As you might expect, there are benefits and drawbacks to either approach. You will need to pay a monthly subscription for any third party service, but this has the benefit of including a high number of advanced features and technical support. In contrast, you will only have to pay a one-time cost for a locally hosted autoresponder, which can save you a bit of money in the long run, but unfortunately you will have to handle the technical details and deal with any problems you may encounter. You will ultimately need to consider whether you have the knowledge and time involved in operating and maintaining your own software. A hosted option may be the best choice if youre not too computer savvy.

You will need to take a look at the requirements you have for your business as well as your budget to find the one that best suites your needs. Taking the time now to choose an effective autoresponder will greatly benefit your business later on.
